WHAT IS A SCAFFOLDING
Temporary elevated safe working platform.
The platform is a temporary structure for scaffolding access and a working platform made of galvanized tubes and mechanics fitting clamps.

TYPES OF SCAFFOLDING :
There are two types of scaffolding.
1. supported scaffolding 2. Suspended scaffolding
. Supported scaffolds consist of one or more platforms supported by outrigger beams, brackets, poles, legs, uprights, posts, frames, or similar rigid supports.

. Suspended scaffolding consists of a platform or a cart with a motor suspended from above by cables and stirrups on each side of the platform.

Types of Supported Scaffolds.
1 . Fabricated Frame.
Fabricated frames are the most common type of scaffolding because they are versatile, economical, and easy to use. They are often used on one or two levels by residential contractors, painters, etc., but their modular frames can also be installed over several floors for use in large-scale construction projects.

2 . Tube & Coupler.
A tube and coupler scaffold consists of a platform that supports the tubes and is erected with coupling devices that connect the uprights, braces, bearers, and runners.

3 . System type scaffold.
System scaffolding is a type of scaffolding that consists of modularized, pre-engineered components that do not require the use of traditional steel fasteners to fix each piece together. Instead, each component is specifically designed to fit directly together like a jigsaw puzzle or K’NEX.

4 . Wooden scaffold.
Wooden scaffolding is an economical option and is commonly used in small-scale construction projects. It is made of wooden planks and poles tied together with ropes or nails. Wood scaffolding is not as strong as steel or aluminum scaffolding, but it is suitable for lightweight work and provides a stable working platform.
